Rationale
This document sets out to define and discuss the relatively new but rapidly expanding concept of e-Campaigning both in terms of political campaigns but also in terms of informing citizens and creating awareness about issues. It discusses the broad topic in a simplified manner and can be said to contain sufficient detail to fully inform any person new to the concept of e-Campaigning more specifically Members of Parliament and Committees' clerks.
The various tools that may be used in e-Campaigning have been described in this document only in terms of their use in e-Campaigning. For a description of their functionalities, you may refer to the documents on e-Learning and Interactive Tools as they complement each other.
